After discovering that indeed I am an Empath, the need for creativity and expression has increased 20 fold!

Lockdown 2020 came and gave me the opportunity to work on me, to improve on me, which turned into the inspiration to paint again. This after not touching a canvas for probably 10 years or more!

Being in the BI, Data & Analytics field for a considerable amount of years, I have always needed to remove one of my senses in large meetings or workshops to prevent sensory overload. This resulted in me drawing extensively with black gel pens at such occasions. Many senior members have asked - albeit only once - what transpired during the meeting, to which I have always been able to recite the entire proceedings from beginning to end.

The most important aspect of being an Empath is that we are here to help, not to be ridiculed and laughed at. Our strengths are gifts, not toys. To show this I have created some Black & White Acrylic paintings at very large scale (and some color Pastels on Canvas too) to try showcase the energy we receive that others do not. The idea is to show the emotive energy represented by each piece's composition. To draw the viewer in and show them there is more to what is visible. To provide a 2 way energy flow if you will. To show the significance of the soul through our senses.
